Business Development Specialist
We are seeking an individual to set qualified appointments for outside sales professionals through heavy phone prospecting
Organizational Relationship:
Reports to Business Development Manager
Primary Job Function & Responsibilities
- Contact high potential prospects and use product knowledge and conversational sales strategies to obtain appointments for producers.
- Build good rapport with business owners and representatives by representing the firm in a positive manner
- Meet or exceed weekly appointment quotas
- Find and apply new strategies to existing sales techniques as relevant
- Participate in training to increase overall productivity
- Update the lead databases with current and pertinent information.
- Help maintain a positive environment conducive to sales and success
- Manage time appropriately to obtain appointment quotas
- Perform other duties as required.
- Pursue a program for personal and professional development.
- Uphold and promote the professional and ethical standards of the agency.
Job Specifications: (Education, experience, skills, characteristics)
- High school diploma
- Sales driven with strong closing and negotiation skills
- Experience with standard telemarketing concepts, practices and procedures
- A high degree of organization, creativity and persuasion
- Strong people skills: friendly, listens well, articulate, self assured and professional
- Good written and verbal communication skills
